To make construction materials more durable and water-resisting hydrophobization compositions are used. Construction materials market offers a great number of hydrophobization compositions, silicone for the most part. Silicone products manufacturers, however, do not recommend to use their agents in high humidity and precipitation conditions. There is an alternative today: A hydrophobization agent having good absorptivity and permeating deeply into the surface due to nonpolar solvents. Impregnation For Hydrophobization Treatment BASE – HYDROFUGE No.8 is one of these.

The agent can be applied onto the surface with a sprayer, a roller or a brush. In this case Impregnation For Hydrophobization Treatment BASE – HYDROFUGE No.8 was applied with a brush onto a dry wall.

Pay due attention to the cracks on the material, brickwork joints and structure elements junctions. It should be remembered that repeated treatment guarantees optimal hydrophobization.

After drying of Impregnation For Hydrophobization Treatment BASE – HYDROFUGE No.8 there is almost no color intensiveness enhancement.

Hydrophobic effect comes into force directly after composition drying out. Spray water onto the protected and the unprotected surface of the brickwork. In Pic.5 (left) the brickwork absorption is shown.
